I'm not going to make it, but I loved reading the recipe.

How many pints does this make?

...depends on if you use 5 cups of sugar or six; four cups of vinegar or five; how successful you are at squeezing the water out of it; how much you eat before you can it. I find a note on the one in my handwriting that says "2012 - 8 pints." Best I can do.

Have 10 jars ready and fill til its done. Or, easier to water-bath them in half-pint jars. Buy 24.

Good info. Need to put this on my calendar during green tomato peak season and then make a gift list of about 20 friends who "need chow chow." LOL.

Or I could cut down the quantities in the recipe to a 21st C. retired man amount.

Sounds like the perfect end-of-garden recipe. Think I’ll taste some before making it next fall, though. Mustardy things scare me. But then, I have some honey mustard that I love. Hmmmm.
